A dream

There is a void in the education of ancient scriptures to our youth owing to lack of knowledge in Sanskrit or Tamil language. One alternate is to make the scriptures available in English. Spiritual works of modern English writers may compromise on originality and authenticity. So our Trust has decided to translate and explain the incomparable 850 year old commentary of Sri Periavachan Pillai to 4000 divya prabandham. A team of erudite scholars would take up this mammoth task. This would approximately take 10 years beginning from April 2008. Scholars’ honorarium would be Rs. 6 lacs per annum besides printing cost.

Tiruppallandu of Periazhvar would be taken up first.

C. Support to Veda pathasala

The Trust is running a Sanskrit / divya prabandha pathasala with 20 students and two teachers at Sriperumbudur at an expenditure of Rs. 5000 per month towards teachers" honorarium and students" stipend. Click Here to view Photographs on the activities of the Patasala.

Our trust also supports a running pathasala named Veda Paripalana Trust providing vedic studies for 22 students along with boarding and lodging at Srirangam. Trust donates Rs. 5000 per month towards honorarium of one teacher

D. Honouring scholars who have served for more than 50 years.

Our Trust is honoured to submit the title of “Kainkarya Sriman” to those noble souls who have rendered selfless service in perpetuating Sanskrit / tamil Vedas and agamas in temples, mutts and schools for over 50 years. They are honoured with a citation and a purse of Rs. 10000.
